Prince Albert II of Monaco to Visit Newport as Part of the Carnegie Abbey Club’s World Leadership Guest Series.

Royal visit on Aug. 11-12 coincides with the Newport Jazz Festival and a gala benefiting The Princess Grace Foundation USA to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film ‘High Society’. Today the Carnegie Abbey Club announced that Prince Albert II of Monaco is the latest distinguished guest to participate in the private sporting club’s World Leadership Guest Series on Aug. 11-12. The World Leadership Guest Series features thought and opinion leaders from around the globe who are invited to discuss international topics and attend special events with Club members, many of whom are among the world’s most accomplished and distinguished professionals and entrepreneurs. Prince Albert II, head of the House of Grimaldi and current ruler of the Principality of Monaco, is the only son of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III. He became reigning prince after Prince Rainier’s death in 2005. Last year’s World Leadership Series included appearances by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush. Mikhail Gorbachev spoke at The Carnegie Abbey Club in April.

The World Leadership Series is one of many exclusive events The Carnegie Abbey Club hosts for its members.
