New developments for Monaco Telecom

First of all, Monaco Telecom increased the number of its staff from 35 to 50 ; there are new services to clients with the ADSL and a new ADSL MAX TV connection of 6 megas, moreover MC Telecom envisiones an international agreement with “On Air” in order to install new infrasctructures with the goal to have mobiles in planes. Brussels celebrates the 1st anniversary of Prince Albert’s reign

More than four hundred people attended the evening organized on 12th July, upon the invitation of the Ambassador and his wife, to celebrate the first anniversary of the Accession of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II. Prince Albert visits Mount Rushmore

Prince Albert of Monaco spent about four hours Tuesday hiking at Mount Rushmore National Memorial before visiting Crazy Horse Mountain. “We took him to the top of the mountain and hiked around,” Mount Rushmore superintendent Gerard Baker said. Prince Albert attends JVC Jazz Festival

Monaco’s Prince Albert visited Rhode Island for a concert that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the film in which his mother Princess Grace, then Grace Kelly, starred. The musical comedy named “High Society” was Kelly’s last before she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. The movie screened stars like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. Two new parkings in Monaco

Mr. Claude Boffa, Project Chief of Public Parkings in Monaco declared “it is a necessity to have addionnal parkings”. Now this is done, important repairs started in the Principality to build 2 parkings and now they are finished and are able to welcome 366 vehicles that’s to say, 181 cars in one and 185 other cars in the other. Bicycle Path in Monaco for the Summer

Many people in order to avoid using cars, traffic jams or for their own pleasure, prefer, during the beautiful season, to use their bikes. For this reason, a cycle track was established into Monaco, it starts at the Hercule port till the Larvotto. This cycle track is not only reserved to bikes but also to people practising roller skate even scooters. There are about 1700 meters of cycling track which allows to visit Monaco, to (more…)

Princess Stéphanie supports Fight Aids Monaco

“Fort-Boyard” is the name of a famous sport TV French show where famous persons are invited to participate to various sport activities in favour of an association. Monaco renames major street for Prince Albert

In the Principality of Monaco, the major streets’ names are those of famous Monegasque sovereigners. Lately, a new Avenue in Monaco adopted the name of Prince Albert II. The said avenue regards the previous Avenue Prince Héréditaire Albert, logical thing to change it as the Prince Héréditaire Albert is of course the current H.S.H. Prince Albert II. Environment - Monaco recycles bottle caps

In July 2004 was set up in Monaco the MC2D - Monaco Développement Durable - an association which purpose is to defend and protect the environment. This year the useful gesture is to recycle bottles caps and within the whole town, you can find appropriated places to deposit your collected caps. For the moment 800 bags of caps that is to say almost 10 tonnes of caps were collected. The MC2D (more…)

Soccer - Monaco signs midfielder Yaya Toure

In Monaco, as all over the world, football is one of the most famous sport activity. On August 15, 2006, an Ivory midfielder football player from the Ivory Coast and named Yaya Toure signed with Monaco. He was previously in a Greek football team, the Greek Club Olympiakos. Mr. Toure signed for something around 4.5 million euro fees !! All we can wish him is good luck and success with his new Monegasque football team.
