Prince Albert II of Monaco underscored his commitment to protecting the earth´s environment at the opening of a special exhibit at the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. Prince Albert II of Monaco visits OSCE to fight against trafficking in human beings

Last Monday, Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the OSCE in Vienna and discussed the Organization’s work in the fight against trafficking in human beings, in particular the protection of children.More... During his visit, Prince Albert met the Secretary General of the OSCE, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, and the head of Belgium’s delegation to the Organization, Ambassador Bertrand De Crombrugghe. Belgium holds the OSCE Chairmanship this year. “Our country is particularly sensitive to the problems concerning disadvantaged and mistreated children,” the Prince said.” I am happy to be able to underscore our involvement in the OSCE programmes which deal with situations that are often painful and dramatic.”

Monaco arts market: Arts and Culture market followed by concert this weekend

An Arts and Culture market entitled “L’Art en mouvement” is on this weekend at the Auditorium Rainier III which is situated in the famous Grand Prix tunnel by the sea. Doors open from 10am to 6.30pm. The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a concert at 6pm on the Sunday. (more…)

Monte-Carlo Casino pays out jackpot

An Italian hit the jackpot in spectacular style in Monte-Carlo when he walked away with 795,705 euro from the slot machines last week. The businessman has played the fruit machines in Monaco once a month for 30 years. More...Last Thursday, he stepped into the Casino de Monte-Carlo and this time, the journey from Rome to Monaco resulted in him achieving a life-long dream of winning in Monaco and a fat wallet. He struck gold after putting 200 euro in the Star Wars machines to become the first big winner since they were installed 18 months ago.

Tourism Monaco is focusing on the Chinese market

Monaco officials have opened their first tourism bureau in Shanghai, in an attempt to lure Chinese tourists to enjoy holidays and a change of scenery in the relaxed Monaco ambiance. Agreements signed between Monaco and Tunisia

Prince Albert II made an official visit to Tunisia on September 7th and 8th by invitation of President Ben Ali. Links between Monaco and Tunisia were initiated in 1993 via the signature of a bilateral co-operation agreement particularly concerning the environment and biodiversity. (more…)

The past Thursday took place in Monaco the SMCAR meeting - Syndicat Méditerranéen des Courtiers d’Assurance et Réassurance (the Mediterranean sindicate of insurers).
