Monaco was well represented at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Council’s meeting held in New Delhi at the end of last month. Attending for the Principality were the Vice President of the Chambre de Dévéloppement Économique de Monaco (CDE), Francis Griffin, and its Director General, Jean-Pierre Fonteneau.
They participated in a busy schedule of events which united members from 44 countries, alongside some key personalities from the world of business. For Monaco, two potentially lucrative proposals came out of the meeting. One concerns a sporting event to be held in Monaco and financed by a big Pakistan company, based in London. The other relates to a potential big new client for Monaco’s digital trade show, Imagina. The event was also an opportunity to officially recognize the participation of Guy Magnan, President of SMEG (Société Monégasque de l’Electricité et du Gaz) to the ICC’s Energy and Environment Commission on durable development. The Sovereign Prince Albert II is keen for Mr. Magnan and Monaco to be involved.
