A new show in aid of Fight Aids Monaco

A new show, inspired by the musical « Le Roi Soleil » will be performed in the Principality on Thursday 22nd February in aid of Fight Aids Monaco. This initiative was sparked off by Princess Stephanie, President of the Association, who fell in love with the musical, which has been running in the Palais des Sports in Paris for over a year. The show is based on the story of the Sun King, recounted by Robert Hossein.More... But the performance will remain a musical. The seven actors from the “Roi Soleil” troupe will be performing 15 songs (from the twenty or so songs featuring in the original show) on the stage of the Salle des Princes in the Grimaldi Forum. Certain songs will also be performed by some of the big names in French show business invited for to take part in the event: M Pokora, Laâm, Leslie, Natasha St Pier, Anguun… are already topping the bill. All the performers will be taking part in the show benevolently and will be accompanied by the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Fight Aids Monaco Association and will help to fund a “maison de vie” in Provence for accommodating AIDS sufferers and their families. Funds were also raised for the same project last August, with the release of a CD single entitled « l’Or de nos vies » by Princess Stephanie and 16 international singing stars. But be warned, only two performances are scheduled for this new musical show. The evening performance at 9 p.m. will be followed by a gala evening for 600 people in the Espace Ravel of the Grimaldi Forum on the theme of the Sun King.
