H.S.H. Prince Albert II kicked off Monaco’s Christmas festivities

Father Christmas had some early deliveries to make this week as he dropped in on Monaco’s seasonal celebrations. He joined Prince Albert and the Monegasque ruler’s sister Princess Stephanie at the royal palace for the annual Christmas Tree Party.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II - who livened up his formal suit with a festive tie - and his youngest sibling were in the holiday mood as they helped hand out brightly wrapped presents to dozens of excited kids. The annual gift-giving marks the start of Christmas in the principality, and this year was no exception with everyone gathering for a photo call under a huge Christmas tree. With Princess Caroline absent it was left to mum-of-three Stephanie to help her brother. Both sisters have been a tower of support to Albert since he took over his father’s role in October 2005.
