The Academy of Sciences has a new member : his HSH Prince Albert II
On January 15, 2007, his HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was appointed, Member Associated to the Academy of Sciences of the other side of the Atlantic in the presence of important personalities of the said Academy such as Mr. Maurice Druon - Secretary of the French Academy. Within his speech of investiture, his HSH Prince Albert II pointed out his engagement in favour of the environment. Indeed, the Academy of Sciences’ purpose is to study deeply all political, economical, scientifical, historical, cultural, biological and technical questions regarding countries located beyond seas and submit its own point of views to the concerned political authorities in order to resolve all potential problems. For your information, the said Academy was created in 1922 and gathers today 275 members.
