New European rules : the Post in Monaco is also concerned

Two new European rules regarding the air and road security, will have repercussions on the Post letters and parcels deliveries deposited at the Post of Monaco. Firstly, the speed limitation of trucks over 3.5 tonnes on highways is now limited to 90 km/h instead of 110km/h previously. Public Schools : time is to be registered for 2007-2008

In Monaco the registering period is included between Monday, January 8 to Friday February 23, 2007 included. Net fall of the delinquency on Monaco streets

André Muhlberger, Director of the Sûreté publique announced the figures of the delinquency for 2006. This year results are good again with a fall of 5.20%, increasing the number of offences to 401. Monaco must be a safety place; the security is, as reminded by the Minister of State, a constant priority for Prince Alert II, but also a trump for the image of the Principality.More... Fall also on side of the stealing of motor vehicles -15.9% and - 9.3% for the two-wheeled vehicles. For burgling, 54 took place this year and the attempts are they raise some passing from 9 to 24 in 2006. 11 stealing with the shooting were in addition listed. To the side of the delinquency of general police force, the figures are a little worse with a rise of 95 facts compared to the year spent; their number being established at 1572 per 2006 is 5.72%. These offences cover mainly the financial. In 2006, public Safety will have ensured 292 services of order, 10.000 interventions of police force help and 199 maritime controls maritime. Also, 9034 files of residency cards (2.3% of more than the last year) were treated this year, the number of the residents in Principality being established for 2006 to 23.934. After 2006 which saw the birth of the police force of the police forces, in 2007 public Safety wishes to evolve/move to be more mobile, more unforeseeable whereas in parallel it video monitoring will be developed.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II in Paris

Last April, during its forwarding to the North Pole, Prince Albert II noted the undeniable effects of the reheating of planet. He created a foundation for the defense of the environment, which wishes to join together 80 million own euros of capital stocks; part of the financing would come from his personal fortune, another from the budget of Monaco.More... The Foundation Albert II of Monaco was presented in Paris by the Prince himself, this Friday and yesterday, Monday. The Foundation should have a budget from 20 per annum to 30 million euros, in order to support the sustainable development and to act near the international organizations, to reconcile environment and innovation, by respecting the biodiversity. The Prince Albert II greeted the action taken by Nicolas Hulot, by stressing that it would sign its ecological pact without any reserve.  Lastly, at the time of the press conference, he also defended his own right to a private life, which certain media did not respect at all.

 

Third edition of the Monte-Carlo Travel Market

This week end the Monte-Carlo Travel Market presented clients and tourisms professionals with a selection of the most exclusive travels in the world. Created in 2005 in the Principality of Monaco, this luxury tourism event has taken a new dimension with the Grimaldi Forum Monaco for its second edition. In the 4500m2 of Ravel Space, new astonishing decors specially created for the occasion was the setting of incredible invitation to travel and dream.
