Fondation Albert II selects projects

Monaco environmental foundation narrows focus down to be effective. The environmental foundation, Fondation Albert II, instigated by Monaco’s Sovereign Prince Albert II announced that it has narrowed the number of projects it will support to 20. The projects have been selected by the Prince and the 12 committee members and centre on climate change, water, and bio-diversity. The Prince has insisted that the foundation supports projects that will produce effective results and result in some concrete action. The 12-member committee includes the Australian Dr Ann Henderson, director of the World Climate Research Programme; and American Samantha Smith who works for New Energy in Norway, monitoring results from the Kyoto agreement.
