Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation: scientific and technical committee meeting

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s scientific and technical committee met for the first time on Friday 16th February in Monaco in the presence of Prince Albert II. The purpose of this first meeting was to choose the projects that will receive support in 2007. The twelve members of the Committee (including Yann Arthus Bertrand, Jean-Louis Etienne) and His Serene Highness began examining the 150 applications that had been sent to them. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has already backed nine projects amongst which: the energy evaluation of biogas in Punta Arenas, the plan to restore Bonelli’s Eagle (one of the most endangered birds of prey, of which there are only 28 pairs left in France) and the launch of Clean Water, a company whose main activity is water desalinization. The next meeting of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s scientific and technical committee will be held in June.
