H.E. Mr Daniel Shek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel hands over his letters of credence to the Principality of Monaco
In the early morning of Tuesday 20th February 2007, in the Prince’s Palace, the official ceremony took place in which H.E. Mr Daniel Shek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel handed over his letters of credence to the Principality of Monaco. H.E. Mr Daniel Shek was accompanied for the occasion by Mr Arié Avidor, Consul General of Israel in Marseilles. After being welcomed to the Royal Courtyard by the Carabinieri guard of honour under the orders of Colonel Yannick Bersihand, Senior Commander of the police force, Ambassador Shek was taken to the Hall of Mirrors by Colonel Luc Fringant, H.S.H. the Prince’s Chamberlain. H.E. Mr Daniel Shek then handed over his letter of credence to H.S.H the Sovereign Prince, who was accompanied by Mr René Novella, Secretary of State, Mr Henri Fissore, Government Counsellor for external relations and Mr Georges Lisimachio, Head of H.S.H the Prince’s Cabinet. Following the ceremony, H.S.H. the Prince received the Ambassador in the Family Drawing Room for a private audience. Israel thus becomes the fourteenth foreign power accredited to Monaco, consular relations existing between the two countries since 1964.
