The electric “Bus Boat”

The electric “Bus Boat” is back to sea on March 30 and this will be for 8 months. This port shuttle which was put into service for the first time last year, in 2007, permits to link the Quai Kennedy to Fort Antoine. This innovation is supported by the Department of Facilities, the Monaco Bus Company, the Environment and Urbanism Department, the Monaco Port Department and its management is directed by Monaco Riviera Navigation. Last year, it was a real success and more than 26.000 passengers used the way of transport enabling people to continue their routes with the same ticket provided by the Monaco Bus Company. This year, the boats are equiped with photovoltaic panels on their roofs to be supplied with the equivalent of 15% energy. Moreover, this is a silent shuttle with can carry on 50 visitors and connect the destinations within 20 minutes, every day from 8am to 8pm. It is a pleasant and nice way to visit Monaco.
