president Vladimir Poutin had a telephone conversation with reigning Prince of Monaco Albert II
Mr Putin offered his warmest congratulations to Albert II on his fiftieth birthday and wished him success in his state duties and also in his work to promote the international Olympic movement and protect the environment – causes towards which Albert II has made a world-recognised personal contribution.
The conversation took place on Mr Putin’s initiative.
