H.E. Mr Claude Morel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles to the Principality of Monaco hands over his letters of credence

In the late morning of Tuesday 15th April in the Prince’s Palace, the official ceremony took place in which H.E. Mr Claude MOREL, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles handed over his letters of credence to the Principality of Monaco.

H.E. Mr Claude Morel was accompanied for the occasion by Mr Michel CHIAPPORI, Honorary General Consul of the Seychelles in Monaco. After being welcomed to the Royal Courtyard of the Palace by the Company of Carabinieri guard of honour under the orders of Colonel Yannick Bersihand, Senior Commander of the Police Force, Ambassador Claude MOREL was taken to the Hall of Mirrors by Colonel Luc Fringant, H.S.H. the Prince’s Chamberlain.
H.E. Mr Claude MOREL then handed over his letters of credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, who was accompanied by Mr René Novella, Secretary of State, Mr Georges Lisimachio, Head of H.S.H. the Prince’s Cabinet and H.E. Mr Jean Pastorelli, Minister plenipotentiary and Government Counsellor for External Relations. Following the ceremony, H.S.H. the Prince held a private audience with the Ambassador in the Family Drawing Room.

The Seychelles thus becomes the forty-second foreign power accredited to Monaco.
