Hobbs-Melville case

The Court in Moanco has handed down sentences in the Hobbs-Melville fraud trial. William Fogwell and his daughter Shelley, along with three employees of the Hobbs-Melville brokerage firm were accused of de-frauding some 500 clients of up to euros 140 millions from 1993 to 2000. (more…)

A Monegasque Judge at the European Court of Human Rigths in Strasbourg

Three candidates were sensed to join the European Court of Human Rights, two men and one woman. And the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Court appointed Mrs. Isabelle Berro-Lefevre to seat at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Hobbs-Melville - the final verdict

The name Hobbs-Melville represents one of the most famous criminal cases in the Principality. To summarize the facts briefly, William Fogwell, the mastermind behind Hobbs-Melville, misappropriated about € 175 millions from approximately 450 investors from all over the world. Langbar investor on remand in Monaco after street confrontation

A private shareholder in Langbar International, the alleged sham £365m shell company under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office, has been jailed in Monaco after a street confrontation with the company’s founder and former executive chairman Mariusz Rybak. A Monegasque judge at the European Court of Human Rights

The Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council has just elected Isabelle Berro-Lefevre, Monegasque judge, to the European Court of Human Rights. Two other candidates were put forward to be appointed to sit at this court of the European Council: Jean-François Renucci and Jean-François Landwerlin, both of French nationality. Housing rights for Monegasque citizens: a model plan

The Monegasque national Council: communal autonomy
